Bob married the love of his life, Janice Lynn. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He retired from civil service with the VA after 24 years. Bob was a skilled carpenter, electrician, mechanic, landscaper, gardener, cook, and life-long learner. Friends referred to Bob as a walking encyclopedia.

Bob was laid to rest in an ancestral family plot near the Fulkerson Winery in Dundee, New York, overlooking Seneca Lake.

In 1995, Bob learned that there was a body of Fulkerson family history, but found it was in small pieces scattered across the country. With the help of more than 500 cousins from both the Fulkerson and Vigne lineages, Bob built his Fulkerson.org family history website to organize our family stories. The site Bob founded and maintained with the help of these numerous cousins won many awards, including:

  • Genealogy is My Hobby, Excellence in Home Page Award
  • On the Trail of Our Ancestors, Page of the Month
  • The Quest for Ancestors, Award of Excellence
  • Fields' Ginealogy Award
  • Libertine Patriot Ancestor Award
  • Lost Weekend Genealogy Award

Upon his death, Bob's sister, Lori Jayne, posted an appeal for someone to take over Bob's work. The Fulkerson Family Pages now builds upon the foundation Bob established and continues gathering facts and sharing our Fulkerson Family history.
